DIGITAL ALIGNMENT & ROADFORCE BALANCING
What is Digital Alignment?
A digital alignment calculates and reports the position of your vehicle’s wheels. This info can then demonstrate to the tech what needs to be adjusted. Adjustments are made to factory specs. It is recommended to do once every year, or every time you modify any suspension related parts. Also when installing new tires, we always recommend to check the alignment to prevent excessive tire wear.
What is Balancing?
Balancing is the art of mounting a wheel and tire in the smoothest way that will provide a vibration free drive. The tricky part begins when you are looking to match large wheel sizes, from 19” and up, with high performance tires. When should you check your brakes?
Like tires, brakes in a vehicle have a consumable component: brake pads. Unlike tires, where you can actually see the tread with a simple look, brake pads need a little bit of work to check them out.
Still there are two factors that trigger a brake service: mileage and the feeling on the pedal when you actually brake when driving. Depending on your vehicle model and characteristics, our Service team will be able to advise you on whether you should get your brakes serviced.
What is our process to check on your brakes?
Our goal is to make sure you only change what’s necessary. In many places, Brake Service means changing all brake components such as discs, rotors etc. The first part of the work is a proper diagnostic so we can advise you on what needs to be done.
FLAT TIRE REPAIR & ROTATION
What goes into a Flat Tire Repair?
All Flat Tire repairs are handled differently at Miami AutoSport. Not like other shops, all of our repairs consist of heat-treated patches, instead of the typical plug. This gives your tires longer lasting life after a patch. All tires that are repaired go through Road Force Balancing before going back on the car which will provide a vibration free drive.
Why have your tires rotated?
As time passes, your tires will start to ware unevenly between the front and rear. This can be due to heavier load in the front than rear as well as more usage from the forward steering. It’s recommended to swap the rear tires with the front, allowing for the tires to last longer. Ideally, tires should be rotated once a year or every 5.000 miles, whichever happens first.
